Pupil Premium

At Crossgates, we are committed to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential, regardless of background or circumstance. The Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to help schools close the attainment gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.

Pupil Premium is allocated to schools to support children who may face barriers to learning, including:

  • Pupils eligible for Free School Meals (FSM) now or at any point in the last six years
  • Children who have been looked after by the local authority
  • Children who have previously been looked after
  • Children from families in the armed forces

The funding is intended to improve educational outcomes and provide targeted support where it is needed most.

We are committed to:

  • Promoting high expectations and high aspirations for all pupils
  • Ensuring equal access to a broad, balanced and enriching curriculum
  • Removing barriers to learning
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing and personal development
  • Working in partnership with families

We carefully monitor the progress of all eligible pupils and ensure that support is tailored to individual needs.
