Here at Crossgates music is a fun, engaging and energetic subject that enriches our lives for the better.
We have recently reviewed our subject coverage so that we follow the model music curriculum. Singing, listening composing and performance are revisited throughout the year to build upon children’s prior learning and give them positive music experiences. Each year group has the opportunity to develop their musical skill, understanding and confidence as they face new challenges and learning situations. Children now have a great selection of instruments to explore including handbells, glockenspiels, ukuleles and steel pans.
Enjoy watching a snippet of our performances!
It might be the beginning of term but in music we have kick started our term by learning to sing ‘Under the Sea’ to go alongside our geography topic. We’re just starting but take a look at our Kestrels doing a fabulous job!
We have recently expanded our subject coverage to include Ukuleles. Here the children at the beginning of their Ukulele journey.
