School Business Manager required for Crossgates Primary School

The Headteacher and Governors are looking for an engaging, motivated and pragmatic School Business Manager to come and join our Leadership Team. This role is pivotal within the school and is responsible for the day to day management of our administration function, finance, human resources, premises, health & safety and IT management.

We are looking to recruit a highly organised, efficient, personable business manager to join our school in September. You will play a vital role, supporting the Headteacher and Governors in the running of this great primary school.

This is a busy, varied and interesting role; you will be making strategic decisions that will have impact across the school and so we will be looking for candidates that are comfortable working autonomously as well as being a high performing team player. You will need excellent organisational and communication skills, must possess excellent leadership qualities and have the ability to successfully manage ever-changing priorities! Life in a school is never dull!

You might have worked in a school before but this is not essential; we are looking for a candidate who possesses the right skills to drive change and improvement and make a real impact in our school.

 

Attributes:

- Excellent customer services skills, including a good telephone manner.
- Experience of budget and financial management and the use of financial management systems
- SIMS experience would be beneficial
- Previous school experience would be advantageous
- Excellent IT skills including word and excel
- Organisation is essential

  • To possess or be willing to undertake a Level 4 qualification in a relevant discipline e.g.
  • Business and Administration
  • Diploma in Business Skills (AAT)
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management (CIPD)
  • Diploma in School Business Management (NCSL)
